AudioEditorKit

About AudioEditorKit

Browser-local audio tools for format conversion, compression, fades, trimming, volume, channels, merging, speed and pitch.

Small finishing jobs, without a full editor

AudioEditorKit provides 13 focused audio tools: MP3 bitrate conversion and compression, WAV to MP3, MP3 to WAV, M4A to MP3, fade-in, fade-out, trimming, volume adjustment, stereo to mono, merging, speed changes and pitch changes. Listen to the exported result before saving it. The file-size calculator helps plan an export without opening your audio.

Operator

AudioEditorKit is operated by an independent individual based in Singapore.

Files stay on your device

Audio processing runs in your browser. Your selected audio is not uploaded to a server. The editor has no account system or cloud processing fallback. The website delivers the application and its audio engine; your browser supplies the memory and processing power.

What the tools support

Most tools accept mono or stereo MP3 and uncompressed PCM WAV, up to 30 MiB and 10 minutes. The dedicated M4A converter accepts audio-only AAC or ALAC M4A. Merging accepts 2–8 files within the combined size and duration limits. MP3 output offers 128, 192, 256 and 320 kbps; WAV output uses 16-bit PCM. A higher bitrate cannot restore detail removed by earlier compression.

Performance depends on your browser and device. On devices with limited memory, start with a short file and keep the tab open until processing finishes. See help and troubleshooting if a file does not open.

Built with open-source audio technology

Audio processing uses FFmpeg through ffmpeg.wasm. Third-party notices and license information are included in the project distribution. These tools do not generate or license music: use audio you have permission to edit.
