How AudioEditorKit handles audio files, browser processing and website requests.

Last updated: October 18, 2026.

Your audio stays in your browser

AudioEditorKit reads the file you select and processes it locally. Selected audio is not uploaded to an audio-processing server. Original audio, decoded data and exported results are held in browser memory while you use the tool.

Temporary files and downloads

The application cleans temporary processing files after an operation and releases playback URLs when a file is cleared or replaced. Leaving the page releases the application's in-memory state. Your browser may retain cached application resources. Downloads remain on your device until you delete them. This application does not offer secure erasure of device memory or downloaded files.

Website requests

Cloudflare delivers the website and audio engine. Your browser requests these resources, but selected audio is not uploaded to or stored by Cloudflare. Loading a bundled sample downloads audio to your browser; it does not upload your files.

The application does not maintain its own request-log store. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser information and request records for service operation and security. Cloudflare retains those records according to its service policies; this site does not promise their immediate deletion. No selected audio is included in application logs.

Browser performance telemetry

Cloudflare Web Analytics/RUM browser performance collection is disabled. Page visits are measured through Plausible as described below. Ordinary request and security processing remain separate from pageview analytics.

Pageview analytics

On audioeditorkit.com, we use Plausible at app.pageview.app to count page visits. Reports count visits to individual pages. Requests include a known page URL without query parameters or fragments and, where available, the origin of an external referring website: its scheme, host and port, without its path or query.

The service also receives ordinary connection data such as IP address and browser User-Agent to calculate aggregate visitor and device statistics. This integration does not set analytics cookies or persistent visitor IDs, record sessions, or read audio, filenames, file metadata or editing settings. Blocking analytics requests does not prevent editing.

Cookies and browser permissions

The site includes no advertising scripts. The public audio tools do not require sign-in. File selection and downloads are controlled by your browser and operating system. On a shared device, manage your downloaded files and follow the device's security requirements.
